I'm new here so please bear with me! I'm hoping someone can steer me in the direction of a Radio Controlled (Atomic) watch that displays both day & date mechanically rather than in the LCD screen manner. I have one that displays the date in this way but would like to get one displaying the day as well in the same manner: viewed through a window and not LCD. Any ideas?

IWC are probably the brand that second hand price have risen in the last 10 years, but if you are buying secondhand from a dealer then its not going to go up in value really, because they probably ask a premium price, if you can get one cheap privately then its possible as an investment,, although not many people know much about IWC, you can sometimes find one at the car booty for a fiver !!!

What you need is a Ballistic Watch... you ask for bullet proof and funnily enough Ballistic advertise their watches as being bullet proof . Search youtube for a demo vid of these watches, they can withstand a blow with a hammer, and have scratchproof crystal, you cant even scratch it with a chisel if you tried..so they say

If you are not 100% sure then don't buy it, 99% of fakes have unsigned movements, and the ones that have signed movements the serial numbers are obviously crudely engraved, search google for rolex movements and then compare to what your one looks like, especially the same model, check the crispness and font of the serial number and ROLEX on the movement

It's so easy !! Its like saying can you spot the difference between a boy and a girl !
Its can be tricky at face value, but as soon as you open it up you will either see a quartz battery or a cheap unsigned movement

i have a helbros invincible chronodate watch, of which i know very little, i guess its dated early seventies its in full working order ,winder, i have searched the internet and have not come across anything like it, i would be grateful if anyone can shed light on this watch, i have a suspicion that its movement is breitling.black face with two white dials, second dial and hour dial with a gold body .
