 Lips sealed
I seem to break watches at work, got through guess, seikos, citizen, soi bought  a Tag  in 1999 for £995 chrono blue face similar to the newer aqua racer range, but it is water resistant to 200m, not 300m, iam told minium of 300m i keep having it fixed, and now i fed up with spending on it, i want a watch for work thats totally bullet proof, waterproof at least. need to be shower and bath and pool proof.
I have a Rolex sea dweller for best, but i do not want to wear it on building sites. whats waterproof, and worth the purchase, tissot sea star 300m? another Tag? Brietling? any suggestions would be appreicated, thanks

Well if you break Seikos and Citizens then you are very hard on watches indeed.

I would suggest that you should consider two options:

1) Fitting your next watch with a Bund strap and leather watch head cover, or

2) Buying a cheap, cheap quartz job for a couple of pounds (or dollars, euros or whatever) and just replacing it whenever it gets wrecked. Probably cheaper than runing an expensive watch at work...

Hi Wingman,

So sorry to ignore you, we are extremely busy in the office.
Looking at your queries about which watch to get for water resistancy and buid quality I would suggest a Seamaster or a Planet Ocean, Omega have got it right with these watches, they are built to a very high standard and will withstand your daily abuse.
Please email me back if you would like any more information or advice.

The only fully waterproof watch I know of is the Sinn EZM 2 or U1 which are filled with pure silicone oil
Thereby providing optimum visibility at any angle, especially when submerged.
The oil also enables the watch to withstand depth pressures that would crush ordinary watches.
The EZM2 is shock resistant and anti-magnetic its the watch used by the Germany GSG9.
I have one myself its a very cool watch a used one will cost anywhere around £600/ 900.

What you need is a Ballistic Watch... you ask for bullet proof  and funnily enough Ballistic advertise their watches as being bullet proof
. Search youtube for a demo vid of these watches, they can withstand a blow with a hammer, and have scratchproof crystal, you cant even scratch it with a chisel if you tried..so they say
