Hello, my girlfriends father died the other day, she is devastated. He owned a market stall where he would repair watches, so now his daughter (my girlfriend) has decided to take over, even though she lacks the proper knowledge and skill needed for such a job.
I want to help her as much as I can, and with your help too she could learn what she needs to know.
So my question:
What would a board of watch masters recommended for someone who needs to learn the trade? Things like books and/or DVD's I guess.
Thank you very much for your time.

Hi. You can try contacting the British Horological Institute
http://www.bhi.co.uk/
as a first point of call. I am sure they can point you in the right direction.
