Rolex Date Just w/ see through back

I was recently given a man's vintage Date Just Rolex watch (no band) and am trying to date it but cannot figure out how.  I says Date Just and the back of the watch is see through, a clear crystal so you can see the inner workings of the watch.  Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks!

unfortuantely if it has a see through back then it is almost certainly a fake unless it is something that has been fitted afterwards ( very unlikely )
