Rolex DateJust

I hope to be buying a new Rolex soon and have been looking at their range. They look very good but one thing I find strange is that with a name like Perpetual Datejust the calendar isn't what I would call perpetual - it doesn't adjust automatically for the number of days in the month. You have to change the date by hand if there are less than 31 days. What do they mean by Datejust? Is this meant to be misleading?

They have a day date watch perhaps Date Just sounds better than Date only. Ask Rolex.

I belive in this case "perpetual" just refers to the automatic nature of the movement

That's good old fashioned low tech high precision engineering for you. They also don't keep as good time as quartz. But they have a heart that beats
