Spray a little freeing up oil around the edge of the bezel glass join let it soak in for a while this should free it up and it should turn freely. Then wash the watch in warm soapy water and dry with a soft towel. This is a real cheap fix. I have to do it from time to time with my rolex Sub.

I would take it to your nearest authorised dealer.

My sub has never had that problem - i wear it pretty hard and i've had it for 4 years. Cool

It should be really easy to fix and should not cost a lot. Get a quote.

Putting WD40 on..... well. :?

kfb, it's possibly just a matter of re-tensioning or de-tensioning the spring under the bezel (the spring is what causes it to  ratchet when it's working properly). Best to do what the previous poster advised and take it to an authorised dealer: it really is a simple thing to have done and should cost very little to put right.

If it's out of warrranty and you are looking for a reliable non-authorised dealer, it may be worth contacting the owners of this very site. I am not affiliated to them in any way, but can say that they have a very highly respected Rolex service guy.

If the bezel is sticking to the degree you mention, do not try turning it -- you'll cause damage.
