The crystal on my watch regularly goes cloudy, every day I clean it wth a cloth and the crystal becomes nice and clear, but despite the fact that I keep it clean at all times, by the next day the crystal is cloudy again. Can anyone offer some advice on how to keep it looking better for longer?

Go to your wifes secret make up bag and take out her nail varnish and paint some of that over the glass .It will keep it protected and shiny for ages.

Alan, Whatever you do please don't use Nail Varnish!!
As you are using the phrase 'crystal' I am assuming that your watch has an acrylic lens if so you can do the following.
For general cleaning I recommend Brasso wadding, you just tear a small piece off and rub the crystal with it. If your crstal has any scratches you can apply more pressure and remove them using this as well (This is a trade secret so don't tell anyone). Once you are finished get some spectacle cleaning fluid (couple of pounds in Vision express) and spray this onto a small cloth and polish the lens and thats it.
Remember that Brasso wadding will only work with acrylic type lenses, if you were to use it on Sapphire etc you would be rubbing until you are a very old man. The Brasso wadding is great for bringing up a shine on the case as well and works equally well with both gold and steel. Good Luck
