HI,I am a sport diver and I wear a swiss made  porsche 3atm water resistant quartz watch.
I was wondering if I can rely on the 3atm factor  and dive to 30 meters
or 99.9 feet with it.
thanks in advance
emil.

depth ratings are very misleading as they refer to measuremnst in still water , 3atm is 30m which is not suitable at all for diving , the normal term for 30m is "splashproof"

just found a list of what the ratings mean , 1atm = 10m
Water resistant
Protected against rain and accidental water splashes.

3 bar/30 m
Brief immersion in water, not suitable for swimming.

5 bar/50 m
OK for shallow swimming, car washing.

10 bar/100 m
OK for snorkling.

20 bar/200 m
Diving with regular air tubes.
