I have been looking for a new watch that has the requisite style (sort of a 1950s look) that I can afford.  That last criteria has blown a LOT of watches out of the equation.  So...What can anyone tell me about Tissot Watches?  I'm in love with the looks of the Heritage 3 hand watch in steel, but the only tissts I've seen over the years have been quartz.  Nice quatz, but still quartz.  How good is their mechanical movement?  I'm pretty sure they use an ETA movement, but is it a box-stock movement just slapped in and sold, is it "finished by Tissot?
For the answers to these, and many more question, I'l be back here, same bat time, same bat channel.  (apologies to those who were not Batman fans in the 60s.  [you probably were lucky to miss it!])
